YouTube Videos of Cheng Man-Ching Forms, Applications and Push Hands
Some of these videos on YouTube were so interesting that I wanted to be able to easily find them again. Then I realized I should also make it easy for you to find them. Hence this YouTube videos section of the web site.
The following video, without sound, shows Cheng Man Ch'ing as a younger man doing the form. Notice that the postures are more defined then in videos of him as an older man
As he aged, Cheng Man-Ch'ing's forms became softer and more graceful although the postures themselves appear less defined. He is incredibly relaxed in these older videos.
This is a video that surfaced from either the 1950's or 1960's of Cheng Man Ching in Taiwan. Around the middle of the video he does his form followed by a group of his student doing the form with him. They take a long walk together first. Cheng Man Ching also picks a flower to give to one of the ladies!
I like this video because it is easy to see the directions of the moves because the reference point of a wall in the background. The opening posture is missing.
This is a very good demonstration of the Cheng Man-Ch'ing Sword form that can really help to see a lot of the detail not available in other YouTube videos.
